Alex: This one is about parents, about us not being so good children to them, not appreciating them enough.
Matvey: All songs from the EP have been played live. Except Cowards. And from day one I knew I would want to have it as the last one on the album. Not because something is wrong with it, quite the opposite — to save it for dessert, for everyone to be amazed once more.
Boris: I didn’t have a full understanding of this song before recording, so the result is most surprising for me. I like how very different stylistic elements carry the same ceaseless feeling through the whole song.
Vlad: I see Cowards as the most even-tempered in its musical feel one out of all four. I specifically love the outro which I find the one of the sincerest moments of the album.
lyrics
We are cowards
Shaming ourselves
We are definitely a burden
And our parents are saints
Our fathers are legends
We eager to impress
By an empty glass
Or less
I know you
I'm just like you
I'm tired of being fragile
Aren't you tired too
She wouldn’t ask you to give it
Your life is life to her
But wars don’t care about it
That is why she hates wars
For mothers we're killers
We answer the call
For mothers we fall
I know you
I'm just like you
I'm tired of being fragile
Aren't you tired too
What the hell we were thinking
Silent like stone
Now all stones are sinking
Could’ve just pick up the phone
Maybe now they’re not lonely
Dancing in the sand
How all the good stories end

Big warm, rumbly and groovy music from the Black Sabbath school of doom and some decent vocal variety.
